What is Studio Theater?

The Enloe Theatre Department created Studio Theatre as an opportunity for students to take a first hand leadership position in directing and presenting shows. Students select a one act they would like to direct and apply for a slot. Due to limited slots we ask that you fill out the application form telling a little about the concept for your show and its demands, for example cast size.

 

 

 

Unable to Direct, but still want to be involved...

If you would like to get experience in other ways than directing your own Studio Theatre piece, the best way to prepare yourself is to get involved with other Studio Theater shows. If you’re looking for experience acting or being a member of the creative team in a Studio Theatre piece, the casting is conducted by the director of that specific show, therefore the best way to get involved is to reach out to that director. You can find out specifics from Ms. Thornton or Ms. Dillard regarding how to contact the next director. Also if you just want to get involved with Enloe Theatre, Drama Club is a great starting point!

 

 

Applying

Applications are due November 25th.

The suggested dates for rehearsals and shows are:

                 1/26 - 1/30

                 5/4 - 5/15

After school rehearsals are available however a teacher must be present. OUTSIDE rehearsal are HIGHLY encouraged on weekends and teacher workdays.

It’s possible that 2 short one acts will share the time/space and show dates.
